Ramon’s Jungle Tours.

Discover the tropical wonders of Mompiche’s rainforest with a certified guide, Ramon Cotera. Ramon has lived his whole life in the region of Mompiche. He knows the jungle intimately and lives his life to the pulse of nature. As a certified guide, it is his passion to share his vast knowledge of the jungle, animals, exotic fruits and medicinal plants with his guests.

Biodiversity Farm Tours.

The tours are guided by Joao who has a PhD in ecology and a deep understanding of local ecological processes. These tours are an instrument to raise awareness of conservation. The Biodiversity Farm Tour takes you through a mosaic of forest types at different stages of succession. The fully organic farm is home to Howler monkeys, birds, snakes, ducks and chickens. Premium cacao for our production is integrated with over 20 types of fruit trees and timber species. We also visit archaeological sites and talk about climate change, ecological processes, and what it takes to do conservation.

Cacao & Chocolate.

Making chocolate is a slow and delicate process. When we treat the earth, the tree and the cacao like a goddess, when every step of the process is with total love and attention, it transmutes, and you will receive the utmost satisfaction eating a piece of delicious chocolate. Michaela has combined her passion for raising consciousness and saving the Chocó, through chocolate. By realizing the potential of the premium-organic, hand-selected cacao from the Aullador Finca, biodiversity farm and transforming it with love and energy into premium products.

Madre Selva Restaurant.

Our restaurant Madre Selva was established to generate awareness, to provide resources and a meeting place to connect with guests. A portion of the profits are invested back into our conservation projects. Madre Selva focuses on ‘farm to table’ menu items and a space to sell organically grown atypical farm products.

Tourism Accommodations.

Members of our foundation operate eco-friendly guesthouses. This allows us to link coastal tourism and sports with nature-based tourism. Tours to our conservation areas diversify the tourism offerings in Mompiche and extends average stay’s in the area.

Save The Paradise.

Save the Paradise Foundation is actively working to expand the wildlife reserve in Mompiche, Ecuador. With the support of our donors and strategic partners, the foundation has protected 34 hectares after just two years of hard and committed work! By bringing together a community of like-minded neighbors, we have created a nearly contiguous network of protected areas totaling 217.5 hectares.

What Our WOOF’ers Are Saying

“Our daily work consisted of feeding the chicken, planting, harvesting, weeding, construction work and maintenance of the cabaña. We loved working outdoors and getting our hands dirty. The work was very rewarding and never too exhausting since João is a very caring host. From the first moment on he was very open, kind & introduced us to the local community..”

Daniel Eble

“Finca el Aullador is an amazing place in the world. I highly recommend this farm to any and all who enjoy an experience close to the earth, surrounded by the jungle, and want to learn about orchard cultivation and management, esp. of cocoa trees..”

Emma Turner

“The place is the combination of an adverse but beautiful environment and easy-going people. This was the most authentic woofing experience I have done, very satisfied. I should mention Mompiche is a wonderful place (and if you surf is even better).”
